Software as a Service – SaaS

With this service you can get the applications you need for a monthly subscription fee, a good example of this is office 365, where you get online Microsoft apps such as word and excel, and also downloadable versions for a fixed monthly subscription.

Desktop as a Service – DaaS

With this service you get a cloud based desktop computing environment. This gives you access to secure virtual desktop computers available from almost any device anywhere there is an internet connection. If you are familiar with the concept of accessing your office desktop computer, remotely from home, via remote desktop, or teamviewer, this provides the same functionality.

Infrastructure as a Service – IaaS

With this service you get a cloud based network infrastructure, which could include the desktop element, but would also be servers such as database or application servers and firewalls. All hosted in a secure managed environment and accessible from the office network or any location that has an internet connection. It provides all the facilities of a network but without the need to house and maintain it.
